MeWe360 is a black led not-for-profit founded at the end of 2012 in response to the systemic racism that Black, Asian and ethnic minority people face in the creative industries. Tired of waiting on others we decided it was time for us to do something for ourselves and come up with new solutions.

In the last 7+ years we have supported over 3,500 creative entrepreneurs and created an Incubator programme for black entrepreneurial and leadership talent that provides access to advice, networks and investment support.

Our commitment is to be there for the life of our members, not just the life of a particular business, because within most journeys of success there will be moments that feel like failure. Our uniqueness is in the depth of our support and deep understanding of BAME entrepreneurs and their needs.

We have not been able to do this work without our family of supporters who have given time and money.

We have always worked hard to be as self-reliant as possible and successfully built a trading arm which helped fund our charitable activities. However, our trading activities have been hit hard by Covid-19. In the immediate term, we urgently need to raise £10K to replace the income we would have raised for the next Incubator programme due to start in September.

Our mentors are the life blood of MeWe.  They can be generalists or industry specific. MeWe members tell us that our mentors:

• Help them focus and challenge them to prioritise the things they most want to achieve.
• Offer support and validation and thereby develop confidence.
• Expand their thinking about what is possible for them in terms of scale, size, timescales and potential areas of an industry to move into.
• Open doors to higher-level networks.
• Provide practical advice and back up: Members often sense the next step up but need support with more concrete business modelling and strategy.
