MEWE
Harvard University. 1975. And the legendary Muhammed Ali was delivering a talk to an audience of students. Someone shouted, ‘Give us a poem, Muhammed’. He paused for a moment, and replied:
‘Me.We.’ – arguably one of the shortest and most profound poems ever made.
With these two words, Ali encapsulated both the collective activism and progress of African Americans, and the individual’s relationship to the many. Given our mission and approach, it seemed fitting to make Ali’s poem the cornerstone of our name.
